2015 Honorees

In 2015, the fourth year of the Prize, the Lipman Family Prize received applications from almost 100 organizations dedicated to global causes including disaster preparedness, economic development, education, environmental sustainability, gender equality, healthcare, human rights, food security, safe water and poverty alleviation.
The three finalists below were chosen after rigorous evaluation by a committee of faculty, students and staff spanning across the University. The winner of this year’s Prize was announced on April 24, 2015.

Winner: 

Riders for Health is an international social enterprise that enables public health care services to reach rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa in predictable, reliable, and cost-effective ways.

Honoree: 

CareMessage is a social enterprise that empowers healthcare organizations with mobile technologies to improve health literacy and self-health management.

Innovation: Africa is an organization bringing Israeli innovation to African villages by engaging in top-quality, sustainable, scalable, and renewable infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
