2025-26 Lipman Family Prize Fellows: Year in Review

We asked the Lipman Fellows to reflect on highlights of their fellowship experience. Below are some thoughtful insights from a few of our fellows as they look ahead and swipe below for some favorite moments from the year.

I truly experienced what it means to make an impact on the global from the local. Being able to work alongside people from multidisciplinary schools of thought allowed me to genuinely consider the different perspectives that can coexist while working toward a bigger goal. This fellowship allowed me to learn more about myself, strengthen my leadership skills, and develop lifelong friendships.

The Lipman fellowship was an opportunity to connect with people in a way I couldn’t have elsewhere. I met so many people who I may not have otherwise crossed paths with, and being able to work and lead alongside them so intentionally helped me better understand what I want out of a professional and social community. I also learned a lot about what it takes to enact meaningful change at various levels — community-wide, nationwide, and internationally.

The Lipman Prize fellowship gave me the opportunity to get hands-on experience as well as interact with other students that value social impact work. What makes the Lipman fellowship truly special is its intentionality and accountability, both to the nonprofits it seeks to recognize and support and to the larger community.

As a Lipman Fellow, I’ve made great strides in my personal development as a leader and team-builder. On top of the incredible experiences that come with directly evaluating these world-changing social impact non-profit organizations, the fellowship equipped me with lessons on how to effectively resolve conflict, how to build effective and psychologically safe teams, and how to reinforce my confidence and break out of my comfort zone. I’m truly grateful to the program for not only teaching me so much but also for placing me with wonderful and inspiring peers.

The Lipman Family Prize gave me a front-row seat to how nonprofits drive real change across education, the environment, development, and beyond. Engaging with the organizations and their work deepened my understanding of how mission-driven organizations operate and the communities they serve.

The Lipman Fellows Program is a rare combination of rigorous, real-world impact work and intentional leadership development. It strengthened both my analytical skills and my ability to collaborate effectively in high-performing teams.
